How Umuzi Jobs works, in plain terms.

This is a draft, being reviewed by Umuzi's data team. If anything in it changes, we will tell you and ask you to read it again.

What Umuzi Jobs is

Umuzi Jobs is part of the Umuzi Launch Lab. It shows you job openings that someone on the Launch Lab team has reviewed, and it helps you keep track of what you have applied for. It is free to use and it is for Umuzi Community Members.

Your account

You sign in with your Umuzi account. Keep your sign-in details to yourself: what happens under your account is attributed to you. If you think somebody else has used it, tell us.

The jobs we show

Every job here was posted by an employer or a job board, not by Umuzi. A person on our team checks each one before you see it, but we cannot guarantee what an employer says about a role, and a listing can close or change without us knowing. If something looks wrong, dishonest, or unsafe, tell us through the feedback button and do not hand over money or documents to get an interview. A legitimate employer never charges you to apply.

Applying

Applying happens on the employer's own site. When you press Apply we hand you over and we lose sight of you: we never see their forms, your CV, or anything you send them. Your application list is built from what you tell us, so keep it honest and keep it yours.

What we ask of you

Use Umuzi Jobs for your own job search. Do not use it to scrape listings, to misrepresent yourself to employers, or to interfere with the service. We can suspend an account that is being misused, and we would tell you why.

No promise of a job

This is a place to find work, not a promise of one. We surface real, reviewed roles and we help you keep track. The applying is yours, and the hiring decision is the employer's. Nothing in Umuzi Jobs is a guarantee of an interview, an offer, or employment.

Availability and changes

We are building this and it will change. Features can be added, altered, or removed, and the service can be down sometimes. If we make a change that affects what we hold about you, the privacy notice is where it will be told, before it happens.

The legal part

These terms are governed by South African law. If any part of them turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands. Using Umuzi Jobs does not create an employment relationship between you and Umuzi.
